AN AMAZING DAY IN JODHPUR !!

Jodhpur is one of those cities which you should visit if you are coming to Rajasthan. Jodhpur is also known as the blue city of India because most of the buildings are painted in light blue color. the reason behind that is, it helps to keep the temperature down. The night market near the clock tower is one of the best happening places from Rajasthan. I tried to explore the places as many as possible in just one day.

BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN JODHPUR:

#UMAID BHAWAN

The palace was formerly known as Chittar Palace because the origin of the stones was Chittar Hill and construction finished in 1943. The story regarding the palace was actually quite interesting. The Palace has 347 rooms, houses the Jodhpur Royal Family and the museum. It’s one of the only places in the world where you can live in a royal palace while the royal family is also residing in the palace.

My favorite part about the museum was the car collection of the former king out the front of the Palace. He had everything from a Rolls Royce to a Morris Minor in a range of quirky colors.

#MAHARANGRAH FORT
The Mehrangarh Fort is unmissable. Literally. You can see the thing from almost all over the city. It was built around 1460 and sits 410 feet above the city. Naturally, when you are inside the fort you have panoramic views of the entire city and all of the blue houses.
The fort has a museum inside and they preserved every single thing that belongs to the king and also ancient mate and drawing equipment with natural colors as well.
also, these are the places to see in fort

  • sheesh mahel
  • moti mahel
  • padmsar lake
  • chamunda mata temple
  • phool mahel

MOTI MAHEL& SHEEESH MAHEL
PADMSAGR LAKE & CHAMUNDAMATA TEMPLE
(I would recommend you spend sunset time over the top of the fort it was a breathtaking view of the sunset)

#CLOCK TOWER (GHANTA GHER)

The clock tower is a popular landmark in the old city. The vibrant Sardar Market is close to the tower, and narrow alleys lead from here to a bazaar selling vegetables, spices, Indian sweets, textiles, silver, and handicrafts. It is a great place to get your self lather items such as wallet, lady's purse, belts and the trending one is jodhpuri traditional footwear.

if you are a foodie and lover of sweets then it is once in a life to get your self a rabadi from a street shop near to clock tower in just 30 Indian rupees.
